Philippines will participate not only in the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup but also in the 3rd FIBA U17 World Championship after getting 1 of 3 slots from Asia in the 2013 FIBA Asia U16 Championship.
The 2014 FIBA U17 World Championship will be from August 8 to 16, 2014 at the Hamdan Sports Complex in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Draw for the 3rd FIBA U17 World Championship is on February 12, 2014 in UAE.

Host – United Arab Emirates
Asia – China, Philippines and Japan
Africa – Angola and Egypt
America – USA, Argentina, Canada and Puerto Rico
Europe – Spain, Serbia, Greece, Italy and France
