Iran had so mch offensive rebounds. We need to go back to the basics. Fajardo needs to play consistent like what he did in FIBA World cup. In order to beat Iran or other superior teams in asia for the gold, we also need scrappy defense in every possession. GAbe and Jared are reliable perimeter defenders. MArcus is not enough against the likes of Haddadi, coach needs to design double tem at low post and quick recovery because Iranians can shoot too. One weakness for Iran is inability to respond well to continuous up tempo attack. So Gilas should utilize our identity, up tempo and three point shooting. And please lets minimize our turnovers and don’t be tentative in crucial moments. Confidence kabayans, we just had world cup experience. Iran is beatable.

  2. Johnny Bench says:

I’m calling out Japeth. He is needed to make Gilas successful. Japeth is so talented but apparently not in rhythm. Also Jeff Chan can help with perimeter defense once in a while becuase he needs the minutes on the offensive side. Pingris and RDO are really hardworking but undersized against Iran’s match up. So we need JAPETH to show up.

  4. JJ Santiago says:

The lost was intended for better groupings. 2nd and 3rd quarters were the real gilas offensive and defensive display. they let it go in the 4th. #tiwalalangguys #isipisip

Heartbreaker again indeed, pero look at the bright side, twice lumamang ang Gilas by 7points. Not enough to win but very Big improvement on the part of Gilas. Yung TOs lang talaga tayo nadali eh and also bad night for Kraken but really they gave it all.

Remeber last FIBA Asia Championship we lost to Chines Taipei sa preliminary round and that give us the experience and lesson to beat the Mighty Koreans in the SEMIS..

    GO GILAS!! Laban PILIPINAS!!

Eh mamang pogi (daw), matagal nang tapos yung Fiba World Cup.
