Sa tagal ko nang sumusubaybay sa Gilas, ngayon lang ako magccomment…It’s an issue of ability to close-out games. Players are not motivated by their leader in times of closing out games. players on the floor during final minutes of 4th quarter just don’t have high level of mental stability. One great leader once said, everything rises and falls under the leader. One thing I noticed on coach chot, he uses time-out to create plays. I never saw him motivating players the way Popovich, Jackson, Espoestra does. Quite frankly, He don’t seems to answer and response to how the player feels. He just keep on pointing out what to do on the drawing board without answering all the mental and psychological issues players are facing. basketball is not just purely physical game. it also includes mental and emotional balance.

Favor LNG Kay coach let douhit play defense on the shaded lane switch among 4 other players to switch on defense we’ll need shaded defense on douhit, and on offense dribble drive penetration and kick out pass to a screened shooters wag mag-antay as gilid on what jimmy always do hit the shots walang pag-alinlangan Alam min pagod n kyo nagawa Ninyo ang mkàkya nung world cup Tama n muna yun bawi n LNG next tournament with better teamwork

  6. mike says:

Against Korea tom switch defense sa shooter nil a outside switch among marc Gabe JD Gary just leave the defensive stance to douhit junmar Japheth inside the shaded lane to secure rebounds BOXOUT wag ng palapitin big men NLA s shade

tinatalo tayo sa coaching lalo na sa closing minutes…nakapag-adjust na sa strategy yung kalaban si chot mabagal mag-adjust kaya sumasabog ang laro ng players nya sa loob…

Lousy game! Pitiful. Asan ang puso? Naka walang gana.

  9. RajkoTorero-man says:

It’s about time that Chot Reyes (including his son Josh) gets sacked! He was given all the chance to succeed…inherited and mere follow-thru of the Gilas system Toroman started, full manpower backing of PBA, unlimited financial funding by the corporations managed by Pangilinan, lavish foreign tours and training, etc. He is a mediocre coach at his best always after media publicity. Let us not be fooled fellow Pinoys, Chot Reyes is leading our Gilas team nowhere. Time to move forward with a coaching change…Tab Baldwin, Tim Cone, or bring back the more effective Rajko.

    • Bernard & Guia Platero says:

You’re absolutely correct, Mr. Torero-man. Success of champion teams emanates from brilliant and effective coaches, their winning styles and strategies. Chot Reyes is poorly and sorely lacking on these attributes, and he just have to be FIRED after the Asian Games or soonest. Sayang lang ang suporta ng PBA, mga korporasyon ni MVP, at higit sa lahat ng mga dakilang Pinoys worldwide. Mabuhay at Laban pa rin Pilipinas!

I’ve been defending coach chot and his staff since fiba world cup. But this loss against Quatar is unacceptable. Gilas has the talent and now may experience na sa world stage. Somehow they are inconsistent. Coaching is two basic things, X and O’s and motivation. Looks like the coaching staff needs to motivate the players. And, we do not have a player that can create his own shot consistently in crunch time, that’s why gilas cannot finish games at crunchtime. Dissapointing pero sige lang banat pa rin Gilas. Still a proud fan and kabayan.
