Batang Gilas lost to host Argentina by just 3pts
Batang Gilas almost pulled an upset against host Argentina, 74-71 in the 2018 FIBA U17 World Cup last July 4.
Gerry Abadiano and Terrence Fortea led Philippines with 17 points each while Kai Sotto with a double double performance – 13 points and 15 rebounds.
Juan Francisco Fernandez led Argentina with 15 points. Batang Gilas committed 20 turnovers.
Batang Gilas finished the group stage with a 0-3 record but all teams will qualify in the Round of 16 Stage as they will face No. 1 Canada tomorrow, July 5 at 3am in a knockout game.
