Nice game Gilas! You have shown that speed & shooting are your offensive strengths. Continue playing with your defensive intensity & hustle. In fairness, Japeth is improving, continue playing with maturity (got a missed dunk?:-) The key is to play as a unit, play as a team. Set aside individual stats for now, you all will have your time in the PBA. In fact I’m looking for the time you all will be in the PBA cause maybe you can bring back it’s lost glory where hardwork, hustle/intensity, passion/dedication & love for the game matters. I’m an SMB fan but I’m loving how you are kicking all those “superstars” in the PBA. Douthit is no excuse (PBA coaches stop your whinning) why you are winning & they are losing. The fact is they are so called “pros” with imports against an amateur team with an import. They would say it’s because Douthit is 6’10 and theirs is 6’4″? Their imports are scoring 30+ pts. The system and mentality is the difference. How players think and play is the difference! If the PBA wants to bring back it’s fame & honor they need a reality check! some pure breed pinoys don’t even want a fil-for playing because they are afraid of competition. Now it seems fil-for are more eligible to play because some of them play with the right mindset of how the game should be played!

In addition I’m for fil-for playing wether in the PBA or NT as long as they are legit (does have filipino blood in them.) Physically we pinoys are small in stature, now this fil-fors are having the physical attributes that could compete in other sports were sometimes height & bulk matters. Compare a pure breed pinoy that is 6’6 and up against a fil-for and see who is more agile, fast and athletic?

Hope we will support all pinoy athletes (boxing, football, basketball, etc) regardless of pure breed or mixed.

Junmar Fajardo from Cebu, should be in the team. I don’t know what it is with the UC management here in Cebu.

I also believe that SG needs reinforcement from the PBA such as (Taulava, Alapag, Williams, Washington, Ryan Reyes), it maybe tough to cut some current members of the team but it is needed to increase the team’s ceiling/firepower in order to be competitive internationally.

My 13 players in the NT:
Douthit, Taulava, Slaughter, Washington, Aguilar, Williams, Lassiter, Lutz, Casio, Alapag, Reyes, Tiu, Baracael

    Reserve:
Fajardo (if eligible should be in place for Slaughter)
