Gilas Pilipinas lost to South Korea

July 19, 2017 – Gilas Pilipinas lost to South Korea, 83-72 in the 2017 William Jones Cup held in Taipei, Taiwan. Jio Jalalon with 18 points (6/9 FGs and 3/4 FTs)

Import Mike Myers with 18 points and 17 rebounds while Christian Standhardinger scored 16 points but with 5 rebounds only. Gilas Pilipinas shot 1/26 from the three-point line.

Philippines outrebounded South Korea, 40-28 but Gilas with only 8 assists while South Korea with 14.

Philippines now with a 3-2 record. Next game will be against Iraq at 5pm tomorrow, July 20.

    1/26 from 3-point line is hilarious! We really missed the services of veteran Dondon Hontiveros or Terrence Romeo to improve that stat.

    Ang goal nga nila sa Jones Cup eh bigyan ng experience yung mga batang players para sa future hasa na sila sa international leagues. Hindi yung mag champion ang goal dito. Ikaw ang mag kangkong kulang ka na yata sa gulay.
