Philippine Women’s Team lost 2 games in Day 1 of the FIBA 3×3 World Cup

The Philippine 3×3 Women’s Team composed of Afril Bernardino, Jack Danielle Animam, Janine Pontejos and Gemma Miranda lost both of their games in Day 1 of the 2018 FIBA 3×3 World Cup held at the Philippine Arena.

In their 1st game, Philippines lost to a bigger and more experienced Netherlands team, 21-11. Janine Pontejos led the team against Netherlands with 6 points.

It was a close game against Germany but Philippines again fell short, 12-10. Afril Bernardino with 6 points for Philippines who missed a couple of crucial shots in the end game. They will play again on Sunday against Spain and Hungary.
