2015 FIBA Asia Championship Draw Results
Group A: Iran, Japan, Malaysia, India
Group B: Philippines, Palestine, Kuwait, Hong Kong
Group C: Korea, Jordan, Singapore, China
Group D: Chinese Taipei, Lebanon, Qatar, Kazakhstan
2015 FIBA Asia Championship will be held in Changsha, China from September 23 to October 3, 2015.
2015 FIBA Asia Championship Format
Group Phase
First round – 16 teams will be divided into 4 groups of 4 teams. Every team will take on its 3 opponents in its respective group.
The top 3 teams from each group advance will advance to the second round.
Second round – 12 remaining teams will be divided into 2 groups of 6. Each team will play against the 3 new teams in its group.
Final Phase
The top 4 teams from each group advance to the Quarterfinals.
Winning teams in the Quarterfinals will advance to the Semifinals.
Winning teams in the Semifinals will advance to the Finals.
* Winner of the Tournament will get a slot in the 2016 Rio Olympics!
