Announcement of FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament Hosts moved to January 2016
FIBA was supposed to announce the 3 winning bids for the hosting of the 2016 FIBA World Olympic Qualifying Tournaments on November 23, 2015 but decided to move it to January 19, 2016 due to “technical reasons”.
Only 6 Countries were shortlisted: Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Serbia and Turkey and Philippines. We will have to wait until next year for the decision of FIBA. The draw on where each team will play is now scheduled on January 26, 2016.
