Let Iran have the 20th spot. “Gilas Pilipinas” will get ’em in the Asian games later on in the year, with or without Andray Blatche…

Top 5 Biggest Surprises in this year’s edition:
    1. “Srbija” – Went through a murderous gauntlet on its way to Silver.
    2. France – The architect of the “Upset of the Tournament.” In the minds of some, eliminating Spain was almost like winning the World Cup.
    3. “Brazio” – Only a matter of time before they supplant Argentina as the “Latin’s Finest”
    4. Senegal (Ebola-free!) – Most athletic team not named USA.
    5. Philippines – Perhaps the biggest revelation of them all, or at least among those who didn’t qualify to the next round. Could’ve easily gone 4-1 had they managed the unthinkable against perennial International heavyweights in their group.

    Biggest Flops:
    1. Spain – No less than a World Cup Gold was expected of them. Anything below that would just be…….. But awesome job hosting though.
    2. Greece – Poised to make some noise and go deep in the tournament but ran smack into the “gods of war” from Serbia.
    3. Argentina – No Manu, no problem? They better start calling “Houston” now as the slide can only get worse. Ripe for the taking. Philippines should’ve beaten them in their game.
