Gilas Pilipinas 24-man roster for FIBA Asia Championship
The Philippines already submitted the 24-man roster for the 2013 FIBA Asia Championship yesterday, the Gilas Pilipinas roster includes Marcus Douthit, Jimmy Alapag, Jayson Castro, LA Tenorio, Ranidel de Ocampo, Larry Fonacier, Gabe Norwood, Gary David, Marc Pingris, June Mar Fajardo, Jeff Chan, Japeth Aguilar, Beau Belga, Sonny Thoss, Greg Slaughter, Garvo Lanete, Jake Pascual, Ronald Pascual, R. R. Garcia, Matt Ganuelas, Kevin Alas, Ryan Reyes, Kelly Williams and Jared Dillinger.
The final 12-man lineup for the FIBA Asia Championship on August 1-11, 2013 will be named on July 12 and only players from the 24-man roster can be included in the final Gilas Pilipinas roster.

A little short on ceiling but makes up with speed, hustle, and tough defense. Sayang Beau Belga, Ryan Reyes, Dillinger, and Kelly Williams.
I think this is the most ideal. Enough bigs and we’ve got enough little guys which is our strength. I’m worried about the 2’s and 3’s defensively but I guess Pingris has enough heart to guard the 6-2’s to 6-7’s which most team has as its key players. His only draw back is lack of dribbling skills. But we need him. Dillinger would have been good because he can guard 1,2,3’s to complement Norwood. Nevertheless, good line-up M13!

Height is might. Speed and shooting cannot works if your opponent is tall. AGAIN, Limit point guards into 3 to fill position for much taller player.
