Smart Gilas Pilipinas lost to Tanduay Alab Pilipinas, 81-76 in a tune-up game held last November 11 at the Meralco Gym.

Jayson Castro led Gilas with 12 points, mostly in the 1st half while June Mar Fajardo contributed 10 points. Raymond Almazan with 9 markers and Calvin Abueva contributed 8.

Gilas Pilipinas is preparing for the 2019 FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers where they will face Japan on November 24 in Tokyo and Chinese-Taipei on November 27 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Naturalized player Andray Blatche is set to arrive on November 12.

Bobby Ray Parks Jr and import Ivan Johnson did not play for Alab Pilipinas who will start their ABL 2017-2018 campaign on November 19 against Christian Standhardinger and Hong Kong Eastern Club.
