Gilas Pilipinas resumes practice today, May 18, 1pm at the Meralco Gym in preparation for the 2016 FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament this July.

Andray Blatche will not be able to join practice this week. Read: Andray Blatche on leave for 1-2 weeks

Gilas players from Alaska and Rain or Shine will also miss practice today because of the on going PBA Commissioners Cup Finals including Calvin Abueva, Paul Lee, Jeff Chan and Gabe Norwood.

Gilas Pilipinas will have 2 tune-up games against Iran here at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on June 7 and 8 then will fly to Greece after for a boot camp and will finish training in Italy competing in a friendly tournament against China, Canada and Italy.       It would be lassiter vs Chan or them both at the expense of who? Rosario or Pingris but most likely Rosario because of his height and outside shooting. For PG don’t be surprised if Tenorio is selected. Baldwin already said that LA is the only pure PG in the pool and his passes are always on point. I agree with your line-up but if ever you’re wrong it would only be Pingris, Lassiter or LA.
