Marcus Douthit will play for Philippines again this time for Mighty Sports, which will represent Philippines in the 2016 Merlion Cup in Singapore from September 21-25, 2016.

After sweeping the 2016 Jones Cup, Mighty Sports Philippines will try to capture the Merlion Cup Title, this time with fewer imports including Al Thornton, Hamady N’Diaye and Dewarick Spencer.

Marcus Douthit is not considered as an import since he is a Filipino citizen. Douthit last played for Philippines in the 2015 SEA Games and was replaced by Andray Blatche in FIBA Tournaments.

Douthit also played as an import for Blackwater in the PBA because the PBA considers naturalized players as imports.
