Mighty Sports beat Samsung Thunders in opening game

Mighty Sports Philippines defeated Seoul Samsung Thunders, 92-87 in the opening day of the 2016 Merlion Cup in Singapore. Al Thornton led Mighty Sports with 34 points.

Import Hamady N’Diaye scored 16 points while Dewarick Spencer contributed 15 points. Kiefer Ravena and Matthew Wright with 8 points each.

Samsung led by 12 points early in the 2nd quarter but Philippines trimmed down the lead to 1, 45-44 at the half.

Former Star Hotshots import Ricardo Ratliffe is playing as an import for the Seoul Samsung Thunders.
