Philippines (Men/Women) enter QFs of FIBA 3×3 U18 Asia Cup
The Philippine Women’s 3×3 U18 Team composed of Melody Cac, Kristine Cayabyab, Reynalyn Ferrer and Mayu Goto finished 1st place in Pool D of the 2017 FIBA 3×3 U18 Asia Cup as they defeated Lebanon (21-12) and Bahrain (21-3). The team will play Singapore in the Quarterfinals tomorrow, May 28 at 2:20pm.
Kristine Cayabyab was the top scorer for Philippines with 16 points.
The Philippine Men’s 3x3U18 Team composed of Rhayyan Amsali, Michael Malonzo, Harvey Pagsanjan and Andrew Velaso won their 1st game as they beat Kazakhstan (18-13) but they lost to host Malaysia (21-17) as they placed 2nd in Pool B and they will face Qatar in the Quarterfinals tomorrow, May 28 at 1:30pm.
Games are being held in Cyberjaya, Malaysia.
