Men’s Basketball
Game 1: Lithuania defeated Brazil, 82-76
Mantas Kalnietis led Lithuania with 16 points and 8 assists while Leandro Barbosa scored 21 points for host Brazil.
Game 2: Croatia defeated Spain, 72-70
Pau Gasol with 26 points and 9 rebounds but Spain still lost to Croatia who were led by Bojan Bogdanovic with 23 points.
Game 3: Argentina defeated Nigeria, 94-66
Facundo Campazzo led Argentina in scoring with 19 points and also with 5 assists while Ike Diogu with 15 points and 13 rebounds for the losing team.
Women’s Basketball
Game 1: USA defeated Senegal, 121-56
Game 2: Spain defeated Serbia, 65-59
Game 3: Australia defeated Turkey, 51-56
Game 4: France defeated Belarus, 73-72
