From watching the replay of the champions cup, i noticed that international players take long shots (3 pts.) with low jumps somewhat more of a set shot then I conclude that our players should do the same, Caidic and Tiu had more consistency with that style, the more you are farther from the basket the less jump you should make and focus on the arc of the shot. On defense I noticed that they 2 to 3 three guys clamp down on a slasher and pull out as fast if the ball passed on the outside shooters athletic guys can do that (i.e. Miami did that). What we’re lacking at is our offense I noticed that fiba style should be played with a lot of agressiveness. A player should have the body language of agression but with control mentally that’s the difficult part.
We need to improve on these areas.
    1. Freethrows.
    2. Perimeter shooting (Eureka!)-if we did these we’ll have a great chance, the problem in our contry’s basketball today, coaches train guards shooting on 3 pts. and forwards inside the paint. These is the problem since we know we’re not that tall. I suggest we train all of them at perimeter. The problem with 3 pt. shot and inside the paint goals is that there is little room to operate since they are bounded by lines for 3 pt. shot and crowded with defenders with inside paint areas while with perimeter shots it is somehow “indefinite” especially with quick and athletic guys, Hey what the great MJ made a living out of it.He seldom take the 3’s. We need a player that plays the perimeter with consistency.
We have lessened the showboat plays of dunks that is more of entertainment pro basketball and that’s good, thanks coach Rajko.

As I have said, We must focus on perimeter shooting. I took the time making suggestions here to improve our basketball as a fanatic. They don’t defend the perimeter very well and since they cannot ever cope with our guys with good ball handling skills and athleticism we have an advantage. And since I have said we need a player that plays the perimeter very well might as well recommend, I think Norwood is a fit. Other players I’m looking to be a fit would be PJ SIMON,CAGUIOA. I mentioned them bcoz of their (do or die attitude/not afraid to take shots and we need offense). They play the perimeter and drive to basket at times. We have a great line up. So with high respect, Coach Rajko if you read this, consider. Baracael did good plays on offense at perimeter keep that up don’t waste it hoisting up three’s. Since fiba limits it to 12 players. I further suggest to put on to reserve Barroca, Ababou, Ballesteros. since the final line up could be
    C- Douthit,Taulava.
    PF- Aguilar, Williams.
    SF- Baracael, Norwood or Ramos
    SG-Lassiter,PJ Simon or CAGUIOA, Hontiveros
    PG- Casio,Tiu,Alapag.
The koreans are preparing for a battle of guards, they will be quick.

Very small naman yang lineup mo brod. Ipasok ninyo si James Yap. Outside-inside kaya niya.
