TNT takes Game 1 led by Pogoy and Smith

Playing in his 1st PBA Finals game, rookie Roger Pogoy scored 27 points (5/9 from 3, 13pts in the 4th quarter) and also with 5 rebounds and 3 steals as TNT Ka Tropa won Game 1 of their best-ofseven series against San Miguel Beermen in the 2017 PBA Commissioners Cup.

TNT import Joshua Smith who was playing with a foot injury scored the game winning basket. and finished with 21 points and 9 rebounds. Jayson Castro with almost a triple double – 14 points, 9 rebounds, 10 assists and 3 steals including a crucial three-point shot in the last 2 minutes of the game.

SMB import Charles Rhodes scored 31 points and grabbed 13 rebounds. June Mar Fajardo with 18 points and 13 rebounds.
