Who do you think should be in the Final 12 for the FIBA Asia?
Deadline for Submission of the final 12-man line-up of Gilas Pilipinas for the 2015 FIBA Asia Championship is tomorrow, September 8. Changes in the 12-man line-up can still be made before the start of the FIBA Asia on September 23 in case there are any injured players but there will be a fine for every change of player.

I Think Stanley Pringle will be a good addition to the Gila Pool.
He is agile, big and a good defender.
My 12 man pool will be:
PG – Castro, Romeo/Pringle
SG – Clarkson, Abueva (can be 2 or 3)
SF – Norwood, MGR
PF – RDO, Kelly Williams or Pingris
C – Blatche, Fajardo/Taulava
worth mentioning:
Thoss – best perimeter shooting center (as of now, in my opinion)
Slaughter – we need a big man close enough to match haddadi’s size
Peter Jun Simon – because of Field Goal Percentage, good defender too
Ryan Reyes – Good defender, should be in the roster…
Marcio Lassiter – Defender, Shooter
Hugnatan – … ewan hehehe, parang pingris ang laro… pero more of a center ang galaw 😛
Hodge – Hard worker like Norwood but prefers to be in the shaded lane to defend
Tautuaa – Energy Player, Athletic, Defender. but needs to limit fouls…
C – BLATCHE / FAJARDO / THOSS
PF – RDO / PINGRIS
SF – NORWOOD / ABUEVA
G – CLARKSON / HONTIVEROS / LASSITER

Sonny Thoss – We need an additional big.. I pick thoss over Ping because Thoss can stretch the floor more plus better post moves than Ping
Jimmy Alapag – This might be his last hoorah.. And those daggers in the FIBA world will still be needed by Gilas.

Ganuelas-Rosser will get Clarkson’s spot if the latter is not eligible because of his length and athleticism
Pingris will get Fajardo’s spot if he cannot recover in time from his injury for FIBA and that will make Asi our starting Center
Tautuaa is not eligible to play because like Andray he is only a naturalized player as of FIBA rules
Ray Parks should focus on his NBA dream and he can join Gilas with Kobe Paras in the near future 🙂

6. Pingris We need Heart
7. Ranidel Reliable scorer on the team. Inside and outside.
8. MGR Good defender, he might be the missing piece.
9. Taulava Worth a filipino
10. Fajardo Can our government force this man join the team?
11. Blache I think he’ll be in a good condition once tournament starts
12. Toss Good outside shooter. We need more heights

Rosario isnt ready yet he needs to make those 15 foot jumpshoot consistently. As for Ramos, He is a nice young man, He is not ready for this no offense. Alapag will give his place to other guard. He is a realistic man, thats whats nice about him aside from being a good shooter. David is not so young anymore. We need more defender like MGR.
CLARKSON will play in the olympics for sure. (we will win the fiba asia)

*Slaughter have some issues about his eligibility too (not sure on this), so i cant add him.
*PArks & Paras are the future of Phil. basketball together with Clarkson.
