The Official Draw of the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup will be on February 3, 2014, 7pm CET (February 4, 2am Manila Time).

Carmelo Anthony scored a career-high 62 points (with 13 rebounds, zero assists and zero turnovers) in a game against the Charlotte Bobcats.

Highlights:

-10/10 from the free throw line
-6/11 from the three point line
-Left the game in the 4th quarter with still 7:24 minutes
-Career high was 50 points before this game

2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup starts August 30, 2014 until September 14, 2014 while the 2014 Asian Games will start on September 19, 2014 until October 4, 2014!

Marcus Douthit signed until 2014 Asian Games

Gilas Pilipinas recently signed naturalized player Marcus Douthit to a contract extension until 2014. There will be 2 big tournaments in 2014 in which Douthit maybe included in the line-up, the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup from August 30 to September 14, 2014 in Spain and the 2014 Asian Games from September 19 to October 4, 2014 in Incheon, South Korea.

Unless Gilas Pilipinas can find a replacement for Marcus Douthit and go through the process of naturalization a few months before the 2014 FIBA World Cup, Douthit will play for our country in Spain and South Korea in 2014.
