Gilas defeated Vietnam, 107-52 in the 2017 SEABA Championships in Manila last Wednesday to remain unbeaten in the tournament and set up a virtual title match against Indonesia on Thursday, May 18.

As Johnson, Wisnu finally make debuts, Indonesia to have no fear vs Gilas

Indonesian head coach Wahyu Widayat Jati said his team will do their best when they collide with Gilas Pilipinas in the 2017 SEABA Championships in Manila later May 18.

“Honestly, it’s hard to beat the Philippines. But at least we will try. We won’t give up. We will try our best tomorrow,” the mentor said.

Indonesia finally played in full-strength on Wednesday, May 17 as they routed Myanmar, 123-50. The game saw naturalized forward Jamarr Johnson and Indonesian-American Arki Wisnu finally see action for the Indonesians.

Gilas Pilipinas trounced Vietnam, 107-52 on Wednesday, May 17 in the 2017 SEABA Championships at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City to move a step away from the qualification process for the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup.

Matthew Wright’s 19 points on five triples led five players in double-digits for Gilas, which shall now face likewise undefeated Indonesia in the final day of the tournament tomorrow, May 18.
