– Marcus Douthit led Smart Gilas with 37 points and 10 rebounds
– Ranidel de Ocampo had a great game with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists
– Marcio Lassiter also had a sold game with 13 points and 8 rebounds
– Only 9 turnovers by Smart Gilas
– Philippines shot 39% from the three-point line (7/18)
– With Jordan upsetting Iran in the other game earlier, Philippines will now face Jordan in the semifinals tomorrow
– Chinese-Taipei led in the 1st quarter 23-19 and most of the 2nd quarter but Smart Gilas came back at the end of the 2nd quarter to take the lead at halftime, 45-42

Game Highlights:
– Jordan led by as much as 16 points, 27-11 in the 1st quarter
– Marcus Douthit led Smart Gilas with 19 points and 15 rebounds, Douthit injured in his ankle in the 3rd quarter but came back after a few minutes
– Marcio Lassiter played big in his 1st game in the FIBA Asia Championship scoring 14 points with 4 rebounds and 2 assists
– Jimmy Alapag scored in double figures with 11 points
– Chris Tiu scored 9 points, 7 in the 1st half
– Jordan had the edge in rebounding, 53-43
– Jordan placed the game under protest due to both teams being informed before the game that Lutz and Lassiter cannot play and then in the 1st quarter were already allowed to play already.

– JV Casio made a crucial running jumper in the last 2 minutes and contributed 12 points, 7 assists and 2 steals
– Mac Baracael also had a good game with 9 points and 4 rebounds
– Marcus Douthit was in foul trouble for most of the game but still scored 14 points and grabbed 7 rebs.
– Backup center Asi Taulava had extended playing time, contributed 12 rebounds
