No Winner in Gilas Pilipinas vs PBA All-Stars Game

Jeff Chan of Gilas Pilipinas made a three-pointer with 0.6 seconds left in the 4th quarter to tie the game at 124 and the PBA All-Stars was not able to get a shot at the last second resulting in a tied ball game. In Exhibition Games, no extension or overtime will be played if the score is tied at the end of the 4th quarter.

Arwind Santos showed that he should have been included in the National team by leading the PBA All-Stars with 27 points and 13 rebounds while Jeff Chan finished with 9 points along with 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Santos and Chan were named co-Most Valuable Players of the Game.

Larry Fonacier led Gilas Pilipinas with 18 points while Gary David contributed 17 points including 5 points in the last 2 minutes as Gilas Pilipinas came from behind to tie the game in the last quarter. Balanced scoring for our National Team with 8 players in double-digits and all players with 5 or more points.

Marcus Douthit, Jimmy Alapag, Ryan Reyes and Greg Slaughter did not play for Gilas Pilipinas while James Yap, Mark Caguioa and Marcio Lassiter played limited minutes for the PBA All-Star.

– With Jordan upsetting Iran in the other game earlier, Philippines will now face Jordan in the semifinals tomorrow
