2014 FIBA World Cup Wild Cards: Brazil, Finland, Greece and Turkey

FIBA has awarded the 4 Wild Card slots to Brazil, Finland, Greece and Turkey completing the 24 teams in the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup in Spain. No other teams from Asia in the 2014 FIBA World Cup aside from Iran, Philippines and South Korea. Italy, Germany and China withdrew their bids for the Wild Cards before the announcement.

– 3 slots for FIBA Asia (Iran, Philippines, Korea)

– 6 slots for FIBA Europe (France, Lithuania, Croatia, Slovenia, Ukraine)
– 2 slots for FIBA Oceania (Australia, New Zealand)
– 3 slots for FIBA Africa (Angola, Egypt, Senegal)
– 4 wildcards (Brazil, Finland, Greece, Turkey)
