2015 FIBA Asia Championship
The 2015 FIBA Asia Championship will be held in Changsha, China from September 23 to October 3, 2015.
The winner of the 2015 FIBA Asia Championship will have a slot for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The 2nd and 3rd Place will have a slot in the FIBA World Olympic Qualifying Tournament.
There will be 16 teams: Host China, 2014 FIBA Asia Cup Champions Iran, Kazakhstan will represent Central Asia, Philippine, Malaysia and Singapore will represent Southeast Asia, Qatar and Kuwait have also Qualified via the Gulf Basketball Championship, West Asia will be represented by Lebanon, Jordan and Palestine, South Asia will be represented by India.

I Think this will be the worst Gilas to be assembled even Andray Blatche will be available……in terms of preparations & players availability! It seems that MVP group is assured that they will get the hosting of FIBA world championship making this tournament not a priority making us PHI qualified already. The SMB group/ teams obviously is not fully supporting the program because of the current format of the PBA league that is full of schedule in a full year. Also the eligibility of our half foreign national players is a great issue (you must declare your chosen citizenship before you turn 16 yrs old) Note: A LOT OF BASKETBALL FANS IS NOT AWARE OF THIS RULE) , some keep on insisting PRINGLE, TATUA, CLARKSON and many many more etc which is not eligible unless they go to the process of naturalizing which i doubt will be enough to consider with respect to their skill set except for Clarkson who is NBA level already.

1. we need big line up for rebounds and dominating inside defense and offense.
2. An athletic wing player that can shoot outside and has strong defense.
3. we need a speedy guard, a great ball handler, a great shooter, and also a great playmaker.
