Ex-Gilas stalwarts de Ocampo, Norwood impressed by current national team roster

Gilas Pilipinas walked away as the victors of the 2017 SEABA Championships in Manila after a dominant 97-64 win over Indonesia on Thursday, May 18 at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum, in the process stamping their class as the undisputed kings of the Southeast Asian region.

There to witness Gilas celebrate another SEABA title are former national team members Ranidel de Ocampo and Gabe Norwood, who took the time to visit Gilas’ dugout before the match started.

Gilas Pilipinas stamped their class in the Southeast Asian region after a decisive 97-64 win over Indonesia in the final game day of the 2017 SEABA Championships on Thursday, May 18 at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

Veterans Andray Blatche and Jayson Castro anchored the squad with Blatche’s 21 points and 10 rebounds leading the way. He shot 7-of-12 from the field and made four triples. Castro added 14 points, seven rebounds, and five assists while hitting two from the outside.
