The Philippines’ men’s national basketball team ‘Gilas Pilipinas’, together with the coaching staff led by Coach Tab Baldwin, recently went to Greece, Turkey and Italy for their 17Â-day training camp in preparation for the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament, which will start tomorrow, July 5 at the Mall of Asia Arena.
The national team includes the ‘Dota Boys’ Marc Pingris and June Mar Fajardo, named after the computer game Dota which the two love to play. Pingris and Fajardo were roommates again in this out of town trip.
The Gilas fans also drew attention to the formation of a new tandem in the name of Terrence Romeo and Bobby Ray Parks, who refer to themselves as the ‘Ming Ming Brothers’.
