Gilas Pilipinas had their 1st practice in 2016 last Monday, February 15 in preparation for the 2016 FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament which will be held here in Manila from July 5-10.

PBA Commissioner Chito Narvasa lowered the fine of Talk N Text Import Ivan Johnson from P250,000 to P150,000 and the lifetime ban was lowered to a season-long ban, this means Ivan Johnson can return next year if TNT still wants him as an import.
