According to Gilas Pilipinas Team Manager Butch Antonio, Andray Blatche has committed to play for Gilas Pilipinas in the 2017 SEABA Championship.
Andray Blatche who plays for Xinjiang Flying Tigers scored 22 points and grabbed 5 rebounds and blocked 4 shots in Game 4 of the Finals as they captured the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) Title after beating Guangdong Southern Tigers, 117-109.
Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas or SBP is considering 3 more naturalized players as backup in case Andray Batche will not be available in some FIBA Tournaments.

In his 1st game playing for China as an import in the 2016 FIBA Asia Champions Cup, Andray Blatche with 10 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists in a big win by China Kashgar against Al Shorta of Iraq.
Against Al Ahli of UAE, Andray Blatche with almost a triple-double – 17 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists but he did not play in the 3rd game of China against Barsy Atyrau. China remain undefeated with a 3-0 record.

Andray Blatche will represent China and will team up with Zhou Qi in the 2016 FIBA Asia Champions Cup since his CBA (Chinese Basketball Association) team – Xinjiang Flying Tigers is representing China in this tournament which starts today, October 8 in Chenzhou, China.
