Fil-German big man Christian Standhardinger leads four changes in the Gilas Pilipinas roster for their virtual must-win game against Iran in the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup Asian Qualifiers fifth window on Monday, December 3 at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Standhardinger will replace Stanley Pringle, who scored 29 points in a gallant loss to Kazakhstan last Friday, in the naturalized player spot.

With their suspensions done, Jayson Castro William and Troy Rosario will rejoin the national squad too. Arwind Santos will make his Gilas debut.

Christian Standhardinger led SMB with 25 points while Alex Cabagnot scored 10 points in a loss against Ginebra. Scottie Thompson with 5 points for Ginebra who missed the services of Japeth Aguilar due to an injury. Marcio Lassiter also missed the game for SMB due to sore eyes.

Gilas Pilipinas will face Iran on the road on Sept 13 and Qatar on Sept 17 at home in the 4th window of the 2019 FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers. With the suspension of Coach Chot Reyes, Yeng Guiao will call the shots and invited 16 PBA players to join the Gilas practice tomorrow, September 3.

Gilas Pilipinas defeated Syria, 109-55 in the Battle for 5th place in the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta, Indonesia. Jordan Clarkson led Philippines with 29 points along with 6 assists and 4 rebounds.
