All the PBA teams have agreed to release Gilas Pilipinas pool players for the 2017 FIBA Asia Cup to be held in Beirut, Lebanon from August 8-20.

PBA to release 2 players per team for Gilas Pilipinas
Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) and the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) formally signed a Memorandum of Agreement that each PBA team will lend 2 players to the Gilas Pilipinas player pool.
This means that there will be 24 players in the Gilas Pilipinas Player Pool, 12 coming from the recent special Gilas PBA rookie draft and 12 will be chosen by Coach Chot Reyes.
