Paul Lee is confirmed to be out of the Gilas Pilipinas player pool for the 2016 FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament because of a recurring knee injury while Marcio Lassiter joins Gilas Pilipinas practice even if with a minor knee injury.

Slim, fit and ready to rock for Gilas … he's arriving Manila on May 27 … Dray would've flown in May 15 but his mom is undergoing surgery May 24 in South Carolina so he's staying to be with her … his mom celebrated her birthday the other day and Dray surprised her with a 2016 Escalade!!! Bobby Ray Parks joined Gilas Pilipinas practice for the 1st time held today, May 18 at the Meralco Gym. Gilas Pilipinas will compete in the 2016 FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament this July at MOA Arena.

Slaughter, Ganuelas-Rosser out of Gilas for FIBA OQT

Greg Slaughter and Matt Ganuelas-Rosser will not be considered for the Gilas Pilipinas Final 12 for the 2016 FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament due to injuries. This was revealed by Gilas Pilipinas Coach Tab Baldwin after the Gilas practice held today, May 18 at the Meralco Gym.

Andray Blatche on leave for 1-2 weeks

Andray Blatche was supposed to arrive last May 15 but was granted leave for 1-2 weeks to attend to his sick mother in the US. Blatche will join Gilas by the end of the month the latest as Gilas Pilipinas resumes practice today, May 18 in preparation for the 2016 FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament this July at the Mall of Asia Arena.
