PBA Commissioner lowers fine and ban on Ivan Johnson

PBA Commissioner Chito Narvasa lowered the fine of Talk N Text Import Ivan Johnson from P250,000 to P150,000 and the lifetime ban was lowered to a season-long ban, this means Ivan Johnson can return next year if TNT still wants him as an import.

Talk N Text Import Ivan Johnson got his 2nd technical foul by hitting an elbow on Bryan Faundo and was ejected from the game, this resulted in Ivan Johnson saying profanities to PBA Commissioner Chito Narvasa which was the reason he was banned in the PBA.

Calvin Abueva fined P41,600 for commotion in Game 2

Calvin Abueva got the biggest penalty in the Alaska vs GlobalPort skirmish last night with a P41,600 fine broken down as follow: P20,000 (For instigating a commotion) + P1,600 (For second motion) + P10,000 (For confronting PBA vice chairman Eric Arejola) + P10,000 (For confronting Anthony Semerad and Jay Washington).

2 referees in GlobalPort vs Ginebra game suspended

The two referees in the GlobalPort vs Barangay Ginebra PBA Quarterfinals game who were not able to call the 2 violations on Stanley Pringle (5-second ball hogging and backing violation) were suspended for the rest of the 2015-2016 Philippine Cup by PBA Commissioner Chito Narvasa.

PBA D-League Coach banned for Life and fined P500k

PBA D-League

Coach Alvin Pua of the Cagayan Rising Suns in the PBA D-League was banned for life from all PBA related activities and was also fined P500,000 by PBA Commissioner Chito Salud for punching referee Benjie Montero. The PBA also sent a recommendation to the SBP or Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas to ban Alvin Pua in SBP related activities.

Cagayan Rising Suns Team Manager Frederick Collado was also fined P20,000 for defending the actions of Alvin Pua.

Quinahan Suspended, Ibanes and Ganuelas-Rosser Fined by the PBA

JR Quinahan was fined P50,000 and suspended for 1 game, P40,000 for throwing the ball at the face of Matt Ganuelas-Rosser and P10,000 for his fighting stance against Ivan Johnson. Jireh Ibanes and Matt Ganuelas-Rosser were fined P40,000 each for holding, grabbing, shoving and pushing each other.
