The 2016 PBA Commissioners Cup did not start yet but Talk N Text import Ivan Johnson was already suspended for 1 game and fined P50,000 for punching Frank Golla and JP Erram of Blackwater in a tune-up game.

Marcus Douthit to play for Blackwater
Blackwater has tapped Marcus Douthit to temporarily replace import Chris Charles who did not play in the Elite’s first game due to an injury.
This is not the first time that Marcus Douthit will play as an import in the PBA, Douthit played for Air 21 in 2012. According to reports, Blackwater already got permission from SBP since Marcus is under contract by the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas as he is set to play in the SEA Games and SEABA Tournaments this year.
NLEX signs Al Thornton as Import
NLEX Road Warriors has signed Al Thornton as Import for the 2015 PBA Commissioners Cup. Al Thornton played for the LA Clippers, Washington Wizards and Golden State Warriors and was the No. 14 overall pick in the 2007 NBA draft.

Asian Imports in the PBA Governors Cup
The 2015 PBA Governors Cup will feature Asian Imports. The 12 PBA Teams can now hire 2 imports for the 3rd conference: 1 Asian Import (6 foot 3 and below) and 1 Foreign Import (Unlimited Height for last 4 teams and 6 foot 5 for the other teams).
Marcus Douthit to play in the PBA
Naturalized player Marcus Douthit might play in the PBA again as an Import in the 2nd conference where there is no height limit. According to reports, Talk N Text and Alaska are interested in his services after Air 21 released his rights.
But right now, Douthit will lead the Smart Gilas team composed mostly of Cadet players in the Dubai Invitational starting January 10, 2013. More info about the Smart Gilas Dubai Invitational
