Chooks-to-Go-backed Smart Gilas Pilipinas started their 1st training session last Monday, January 8 at the Meralco Gym featuring the current Gilas Pilipinas players who will compete in the 2019 FIBA World Cup Qualifiers this February and the future Gilas Pilipinas players who will compete in the 2023 FIBA World Cup to be held in Manila.

Serbian Coach Toroman is currently the Head Coach of the Jordanian National Basketball Team. Before coaching Smart Gilas, Coach Rajko led Iran to a 1st Place finish in the 2007 FIBA Asia Championship and qualified for the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
