Gilas Pilipinas Basketball

Gilas Pilipinas defeated Chinese-Taipei, 106-53 in window 1 of the 2025 FIBA Asia Cup Qualifiers held at the PhilSports Arena. Justin Brownlee led Philippines with 26 points and 13 rebounds while Kai Sotto with 18 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 blocks.

Calvin Oftana contributed 13 points (5/8 FGs) while Dwight Ramos with 12 markers. Young Gilas players Carl Tamayo and Kevin Quiambao with 11 and 10 points respectively and both with 6 rebounds.

Gilas Pilipinas led all quarters and finished with 57 rebounds compared to only 29 by Chinese-Taipei and also with 30 team assists.

Gilas Pilipinas now 2-0 in the FIBA Asia Cup Qualifiers, next window will be in November 2024.
