Gilas Pilipinas gets back at Cambodia, regains SEA Games Gold
Gilas Pilipinas defeated host Cambodia, 80-69 in the finals of the 2023 SEA games Basketball to capture the Gold Medal. Justin Brownlee again led Philippines with 23 points along with 7 rebounds and 4 assists.
Chris Newsome played well and contributed 16 points and 4 assists while Marcio Lassiter with 10 points and 5 rebounds. Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser, CJ Perez and Christian Standhardinger with 9 points each.
Gilas Pilipinas outrebounded Cambodia, 40-36. Philippines got back at Cambodia after losing to the host team in the Group phase.
In the last SEA Games held in Vietnam, Gilas Pilipinas settled for the Silver Medal after losing to Indonesia.
