Gilas Pilipinas gets back at Indonesia led by Brownlee
Gilas Pilipinas defeated Indonesia, 84-76 in the Semifinals of the 2023 SEA Games Basketball as they set to face host Cambodia on May 16 for the Gold Medal.
Justin Brownlee led Philippines with including 2 crucial three-point shots in the 4th quarter, he finished with 9 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals and 2 blocks. Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser played well and contributed 13 points and 4 rebounds.
Arvin Tolentino with 10 points while Marcio Lassiter and Jerom Lastimosa with 9 points each for Gilas Pilipinas. Indonesia led most of the game but Philippines outscored Indonesia in the last quarter, 24-11.
In the other semifinals matchup, host Cambodia defeated Thailand, 76-66 to reach the Gold Medal game for the first time and the Finals will be held on May 16, 4pm in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
