Gilas Pilipinas Basketball

Gilas Pilipinas Women lost to South Korea, 93-71 in the quarterfinals of the 2023 Asian Games in Hangzhou, China.

Ana Alicia Castillo led Philippines with 18 points. Jisu Park and Leeseul Kang with 15 points each for South Korea.

Jack Animam with a double double – 15 points, 14 rebounds along with 3 assists, 2 steals and 1 block. Afril Bernardino with 12 points,3 rebounds and 5 assists.

South Korea had a hot start and led by 10 at the end of the 1st quarter, 23-13 and Gilas Women had trouble keeping up as they bow out of the tournament in their Asian Games debut.
