Gilas Youth got their 1st win in the FIBA U19 by beating China

Gilas Pilipinas Youth finally got their 1st win in the 2019 FIBA U19 Basketball World Cup as they beat China, 86-72 in the Classification Phase for 13th-16th place.

Dave Ildefonso led Philippines with 21 points (4/7 from 3) along with 6 rebounds and 7 assists while Carl Tamayo with his best game in this tournament with 20 points and 6 rebounds.

James Spencer and Rhayyan Amsali with 11 points each for Gilas Youth. Dalph Panopio had his best game for Gilas Youth with 8 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists.

Kai Sotto was limited to just 5 points as he played a little under 13 minutes only due to foul trouble. Haowen Guo led China with 23 points.

Gilas Youth will play their final game against New Zealand for 13th place tomorrow at 1:15pm (6:15pm Manila Time)
