Gilas Youth lost to Russia, will face Serbia in the next round
Gilas Pilipinas Youth lost to Russia, 92-64 in the final day in the Group Phase of the 2019 FIBA U19 Basketball World Cup held in Greece. Philippines now 0-3 but no team is eliminated in the Group Phase and they will face Serbia in the Round of 16, today, July 3, 6:15pm (11:15pm Manila time).
Kai Sotto and Dave Ildefonso with 14 points each. Sotto also with 7 rebounds and 6 blocks. Aleksandr Ershov led Russia with 21 points.
Carl Tamayo scored 12 points and 5 rebounds while Rhayyan Amsali with 9 points and 5 rebounds. Philippines shot only 2 out of 19 from the three-point line and committed 20 turnovers.
