After going 0-3 in the 1st round, Gilas Pilipinas will play in the 2019 FIBA World Cup Classification Round in Beijing, China starting September 6, 2019.

Friday, September 6 – Philippines vs Tunisia, 8pm
Sunday, September 8 – Philippines vs Iran, 8pm
Games will be held at the Wukesong Sports Arena, Beijing, China.
Gilas Pilipinas has a chance to get a slot for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics by being the Asian Team with the highest rank at the end of the classification phase. All asian teams bowed out of the 1st round with only China having 1 win. Korea, Jordan, Iran, Japan and Philippines all have 0-3 record in the 1st round.
