No naturalized player for China as Kyle Anderson (Li Kaier) is in training camp for the Minnesota Timberwolves in the NBA and Zhou Qi is also out of the line-up. But Gilas Pilipinas also has a different line-up from the one that beat China in the FIBA World Cup as we now have Justin Brownlee replacing Jordan Clarkson but we have another naturalized player in Angelo Kouame.
China is currently 4-0 in the Asian Games as they defeated Mongolia (89-50), Chinese-Taipei (89-69) and Hong Kong (95-50) in the preliminary round and beat South Korea (84-70) in the Quarterfinals.
Since 1951, China has 8 Gold Medals, 2 Silver Medals and 1 Bronze Medal in the Asian Games basketball. In both times that they were the host of the Asian Games (In 1990 and 2010), they won Gold Medals in Men’s Basketball on both occasions.
