Gilas Pilipinas beat Chinese-Taipei White, now 2-1

July 17, 2017 – Gilas Pilipinas defeated host Chinese-Taipei White, 93-82 in their 3rd game of the 2017 Jones Cup in Taipei, Taiwan. Matthew Wright led Gilas with 21 points (5/9 from 3).

Roger Pogoy scored 15 points while import Mike Myers with 14 points and 14 rebounds. Jio Jalalon played well with 13 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Gilas committed just 13 turnovers but was outrebounded by Chinese-Taipei White, 40-37.

Philippines now with a 2-1 record. Next game will be against Japan at 1pm tomorrow, July 18.

    just being honest… that kid Paras, together with Passumal and /vosoros, is better left at home to further hone their craft. Paras in particular looked always lost, committing stupid passing errors after stupid passing errors — and looking like he really do not belong in this Gilas Team. Let him mature. Let him learn. Let him…..Do not be a SORE EYES IN THE TEAM!
