As posted by Gilas Pilipinas Coach Chot Reyes in his twitter account, he mentioned 16 players so far in the Gilas Pilipinas Player Pool for the 2019 FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers.
Calvin Abueva, June Mar Fajardo, Japeth Aguilar, Raymond Almazan, Allein Maliksi, Jayson Castro, Mac Belo, Matthew Wright, Roger Pogoy, Gabe Norwood, Carl Bryan Cruz and Troy Rosario participated in the 1st practice last November 3 at the Meralco Gym while Jio Jalalon was in attendance but did not participate due to an injury.
Terrence Romeo and Kiefer Ravena are both out of town while Andray Blatche is expected to arrive on November 12 to join Gilas practice.
Also included in the Gilas pool submitted to FIBA: Baser Amer, Kevin Alas, LA Revilla, Russel Escoto, Kevin Ferrer, Von Pessumal, and Mike Tolomia.
The 1st game of Gilas Pilipinas will be against Japan in Tokyo on November 24 then against Chinese-Taipei on November 27 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
