Gilas Pilipinas up 2 places in latest FIBA Rankings
FIBA released the updated World Ranking for Men and Philippines is now rank number 38, up 2 places from 40th place in the previous rankings. Gilas Pilipinas finished 24th place in the 2023 FIBA World Cup.
USA is back at No. 1 even if they finished 4th place in the recent FIBA World Cup, Spain is now No. 2 while FIBA World Cup Champions Germany went up 8 places and now in 3rd place in the FIBA World Ranking for Men.
In Asia, Philippines is at No. 8 only, behind Australia and New Zealand at No. 1 and 2 respectively, the best team in Asia Japan is up 11 places and now in 26th place and No. 3 in Asia.
