Gilas Pilipinas Women take home Bronze Medal in FIBA 3×3 U18
Congratulations to our Gilas Pilipinas Women as they beat China, 14-11 for the battle for 3rd place and will take home the Bronze Medal in the 2019 FIBA 3×3 U18 Asia Cup.
The Gilas Girls beat New Zealand in the Quarterfinals but lost to eventual champions Australia in the Semifinals.
The Gilas Pilipinas 3×3 U18 Women’s Team is composed of Kristine Cayabyab, Camille Clarin, Ella Fajardo and Angelica Surada. Shyla Heal of Australia was named MVP of the Women’s Division while Kristine Cayabyab was announced as part of the Team of the Tournament along with the MVP and Saori Yasue of Japan.
Meanwhile, the Gilas Pilipinas 3×3 U18 Men’s Team composed of Gerry Abadiano, Terrence Fortea, Karl Quiambao and Carl Tamayo finished 5th place in the Men’s Division after they lost to China in the quarterfinals.
