Gilas Pilipinas Basketball

FIBA released the updated World Ranking for Women and Philippines is now rank number 37, up 5 places from 42nd place in the previous rankings. Gilas Pilipinas Women’s National Team finished 6th place in Division A of the 2023 FIBA Asia Cup.

USA is still No. 1 and China at No. 2. Philippines (Women) is 7th place in rank among Asian teams with China at No. 1, Australia No. 2 and Japan No. 3.

Gilas Pilipinas Women will play for the 1st time in the 2023 Asian Games in Hangzhou, China. Philippines (Women) is in Group B with Japan, Kazakhstan and Hong Kong and will play their 1st game on September 27 vs Kazakhstan at the Shaoxing Olympic Sports Centre Gymnasium.
