Dondon Hontiveros has decided to quit Smart Gilas due to fatigue and health issues. With Hontiveros out 2 new Talk N Text players was added to the Smart Gilas pool: Ryan Reyes and Larry Fonacier.
We would like to thank Dondon Hontiveros for his service to the country, let us support his decision ad continue to support our Philippine National Basketball Team.

lets respect dondon’s decision..suggest ko lang sa rp team na huwag papalit-palit ng players..masisira lang ang teamwork..ok na team natin, mga role players halos lahat pero effective both on offense and deffense..maganda sana kung kasama parin si don..more hard work pa to improve even more..kaya nyo yan guys..laban lang hanggang sa huling segundo..god bless more power..pilipino tayo!!!!
Aminin na natin, 2012 Basketball Olympics ay pangarap na lang natin. Nauna tayo magbasketball pero mabilis umunlad at MAS MALALAKI ang ibang bansa kaysa sa atin, sa ASIA pa lang ito. Kung ung mga Smart Gilas players na kasama sa long term plan pumasok na sa PBA, maguumpisa na nmn ulit tayo sa mga bagong players. Si Toroman ang malaki ang tiwala na makakapasok tayo sa Olympics dahil trabaho niya ang mag coach. Bigyan mo ng coaching job sa PBA si Toroman, 100% pupunta din siya sa PBA at iiwan ang Smart Gilas.

castro is injured (sayang) but adding sol mercado would be great idea.. power point guard para makasabay sa banggaan pointguard ng ibang bansa.. and sana palitan muna si taulava (if fatigued lang naman po) ni ali peek.. no dondon means lack of outside shooting, larry and ryan kayang-kaya nyo yan, kahit Petron Blaze Fan ako, basta para sa bansa , Mabuhay kayo!!!
